SMobile Application Inventory & Revocation
SMobile Applicatoin Inventory & Revocation provides protection agianst unwanted third party applications and supports Windows Mobile®, Symbian Series 60®, and BlackBerry® smartphones.
With many employees downloading and installing their own software onto mobile devices, having control over these applications presents a growing challenge to the enterprise. Many third party applications such as Instant Messaging, VOIP, and P2P file sharing can introduce new security threats, and expose the company network to illicit, inappropriate, or illegal content. SMobile Security Shield with Application Inventory & Revocation enables enterprise customers to control the applications allowed to run on their mobile devices.
How it Works
Application Inventory and Revocation enables the enterprise to identify, and create listings of installed applications across all mobile smartphone device populations, selectively uninstall undesired signed and unsigned applications across the entire user population, and remove the application without the knowledge or permission of the end-user.
At the time of installation the Security Shield application will inventory all third party applications residing on the employee’s smartphone. On a periodic basis the IT administrator can initiate a remote command to re-inventory the installed applications. When an unwanted application is identified the administrator can then take action to uninstall this application from a specific device of from the entire device population.
